A little discussion about Sea and land Breeze
Introduction: As we all know, heat transfers faster in solid substances and a little bit slower in liquids,
Conduction:The process by which heat energy is transmitted through collisions between neighboring atoms or molecules is known as Conduction. Conduction occurs more in solids and liquids, where the particles are closer to together, than in gases, where particles are further apart.
Convection:The process by which transfer of heat happens due to the bulk movement of molecules within fluids (gases and liquids) is known as Convection, including molten rock.
Radiation: The emission or transmission of energy in the form of waves or particles through space or through a material medium is known as Radiation. This includes: electromagnetic radiation, such as radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, x-rays, and gamma radiation (γ).
Land breeze:Land breeze is a local wind system characterized by a flow from land to water late at night. Land breezes alternate with sea breezes
along coastlines adjacent to large bodies of water. Both are induced by
differences that occur between the heating or cooling of the water
surface and the adjacent land surface. When the Sea surface is hotter than nearby land area, the surface wind of the sea moves upwards and comparatively colder air from land moves to sea area to fulfill the vacant area.
Sea breeze:If any wind that blows from a large body of water toward a landmass is known as Sea Breeze; it develops due to differences in air pressure created by the differing heat capacities of water and dry land. As such, sea breezes are more localized than prevailing winds.
